Carrie is an undergraduate student at the University of Washington, double majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Chemistry. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2026 and plans to apply to graduate school following a gap year.
Under the guidance of Dr. Gigliola Zanghí, she investigates dormant parasitic hypnozoites using light-sheet microscopy, a project that also serves as her senior thesis. Her research interests focus on aging, infectious diseases, and immunology.
Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking with friends, cooking, and building LEGO sets.
